The Top Six

The Top Six teams in the NBA, after the off season will be the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic, and Cleveland Cavaliers in the East. The West: the Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, and Portland Trail Blazers. The Dallas Mavericks are riding the fence in terms of one of the top teams, still lacking the key piece, even with the addition of Shawn Marion.

Boston is the most talented team in the NBA for sure. With four great players in Rasheed Wallace, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett, the Celtics could easily be the pick for the East.

Orlando made several moves this off season, but is behind Boston and Cleveland after losing Hedo Turkoglu, Courtney Lee, and others.

Cleveland picked up Shaq and that could help make them a more dominant team. Overall Cleveland will be able match up better against Orlando with Dwight Howard and Boston with Kendrick Perkins.

Now to the West. The Lakers made a key acquisition after losing Ariza to Houston. Picking up Ron Artest will help the Lakers overall on the defensive end. LA needs to resign Lamar Odom to be a contender.

San Antonio picked up some help. It still doesn’t look like it to me if they have enough to beat anyone in the East. San Antonio is old and getting older after this off season. McDyess, 35, will be a key player but adds to the Spurs list of older talent.

Portland is still a young team but with Lamarcus Aldridge, Greg Oden, and Brandon Roy they could easily be one of the favorites to make some noise in the coming seasons.

I’m not predicting the NBA champs. Just telling you who i think are the top six teams in the NBA.
